What is your favorite Pasta dish, and what's in it/what is is called?

I ask what's in it, because you could name some pasta dishes I've never heard of

My favorite, is the basic:
Spaghetti and Meatballs, a nice garlic red sauce, and Garlic Bread (Penne is my favorite)... .. and don't tell me Penne is not Spaghetti, because it is!!!!!

salt,,pepper, little bit of hot sauce (sometimes), sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on that bad boy, and you're good to go

just had it, therefore the genesis of this thread

local caterer friend makes a killer blackened chicken alfredo...by far my favorite.
Chicken Spideni with a side of Fettuccine Alfredo
Shrimp scampi. Cook shrimp till just done in butter, remove them and add more butter, then saute shallots till translucent, then add garlic, cook for on minute, add chicken stock
reduce till it thick like syrup and finish the sauce with butter toss in the shrimp and pour over pasta.
wifes does a nice light summer pasta type thing

italian suasage (browned like ground meat)
penne pasta (cooked and drained)
baby spinach (raw)
fresh basil (raw)
tomatoes (wedges)

a few other odds and ends like parmesean and sometimes garlic sauteed in olive oil

toss together like a salad = win
We just had spaghetti and meatballs last night for dinner, along with a loaf of garlic bread. Wife and I had Merlot to drink. Normally we just grab a couple jars of Prego and some ground beef, but we also like to mix it up and grab some italian-style meatballs and just heat them up in the sauce. Oh, and we use whole grain thin spaghetti.

Another favorite is chicken alfredo, with lots of garlic. Again, buy a jar of your favorite sauce, alfredo noodles, and some chicken, cut into bite size pieces (I know a lot of restaurants like doing strips - I prefer smaller chunks).

yes.. here in my universe, any kind of pasta is called spaghetti

just like the backwards people of this world that call any soda a coke "I'll have a coke.. what kind? Sprite"

If they can have that, I can have spaghetti =Penne

My dad's parents were like that.

Except they called it all macaroni.

Saute onions and red, green and yellow sweet peppers (don't mince but cut into bite sized pieces) with a couple cloves of minced garlic. Boil up a pound of thin whole grain spaghetti. Mix the sauteed veggies into the spaghetti with about a pound of really sharp grated cheddar. The kids love it. I don't know what it's called because a friend of mine made it up.
Manicotti I guess, cheese stuffed with marinara sauce
